Virginia Beach!
Jollibee!
First birthday celebrated with this anthropomorphic happy go lucky bee.
Immediately after entering this restaurant, it felt like a different country. Home comfort and nostalgia hit hard.
Guess the geese from up north have started to travel south. A ton of 'em outside Jollibee.
First meal of Jollibee and I get the double Burger Steak meal with a Pandan flavored Pearl Cooler!
Slain! With a piece of Jollibee's world famous Chicken Joy.
On the shores of Virginia Beach.
More home comforts with Red Ribbon!
Fresh pandesal.
Local Filipino restaurant. Filipino BBQ with beef kaldereta on the side. So yummers.
Incredible piece of civil engineering - Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
This tunnel is a part of the bridge and is literally underneath the Atlantic Ocean. Pretty crazy if you think about it.
The vegetation is so foreign to the vegetation we have in Ontario, Canada.
Surreal Fantasy like Sunsets on the shores along the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
Jollibee round 2! This time with the Aloha Burger and another Pandan Pearl Cooler.
Aloha= Hawaiian= Pineapple= Pineapple removed because I hate pineapple with main dishes.
Sonic Burger! The best quick dirty hamburger places around! The In-N-Out Burger of the East Coast since In-N-Out are exclusive to the West Coast. So. Fucking. Good.
Alex Wong, I'm lookin' at you for commentary on the pics below.
Chillidogs and 50% off Milkshakes @ Sonic Burger!
Last meal in Jollibee restaurant. This a Tapsilog (Beef Tapa, Itlog (egg)) breakfast meal. Again, delicious. It's OK, we brought plenty of Jollibee home and the Chicken Joys are still plentiful. (For now.)
Endless dark rest stops.
Teriyaki restaurant in a Food Court in PA.
Traffic at the border. 90 minute wait.
Picked up Cloud from the doggy hotel today! He totally missed us.
So, that is all for now. Glad to be back; both physically at home and on blogspot.
Alan
